(Unfortunately, life was moving too quickly and I didn't get any good pics over the past month. Sorry, no pretty pictures. Good thing about that is that I know I stayed in the moment instead of seeing life through a lens.)
The Americana Music Festival & Conference was AMAZING! It was so great that it has taken me a whole week to recuperate! The Honors & Awards show was fantastic. My predictions were very close (see what I thought here). I got 5 out of 6! Shovels & Rope surprised me by taking home Song of the Year. I really thought the Lumineers would win that one, but (Yay!) Shovels & Rope did! Their performance was incredible too. Watch for replays on AXS-TV and a cut down version will air on Austin City Limits in November (I think).
I told you that I was going to get on a Health & Fitness kick (but this will not become a health and fitness blog!) and I have stuck to it! I did a mild 10 day cleanse just to flush out the yuckiness. I went from a 16 to a 14 in only two weeks and now after a month can even fit into some 12's! My plan is to be a size 8 by August of next year (I chose a size realistic for me. I haven't been a size 8 since I was 12). I know with support and some incredible nutrition products that I have found that it will happen and I am so excited!
The Hubs has been through several rounds of sinus infections since July, but we have finally found him a really good doctor who it working to prevent them going forward. The Hubs has also joined my health & fitness kick. He is only on Day Five of his cleanse and has already lost 5.5 lbs. Ugh, men!
My life has pretty much been consumed by Americana and Health & Fitness for the past month. I slept when I could and got in a few episodes of Breaking Bad every now and again (I am only on season 2). I loved on my kitty-cat and realized that life is pretty good and only going to get better.
